The Georgetown - Notre Dame game promised to be a great one, and the two teams did not disappoint (except for the Hoya fans maybe). One of the most anticipated matchups involved the 2008 POY, Notre Dame's Luke Harangody, and the preseason co-ROY, Georgetown's Greg Monroe. Each had terrific games, but Harangody (and the Irish) won the night...
Harangody also grabbed 11 rebounds to go along with an assist and a steal. He was not perfect however, as he also had 3 turnovers. Georgetown's Greg Monroe was very good too, but with 21 points (PPWS -- 1.03; eFG% -- 52.9) and 10 rebounds in 37 minutes (and 3 assists to go with 2 steals), he was not quite as efficient as Harangody. This is the only scheduled game between the two teams, but I look forward to their next meeting, if not this season (the BET? NCAA?), then hopefully (they both stay in school) next season.
