The Marquette front court got a little smaller yesterday as forward Trevor Mbakwe informed the staff he would not return for this second year. Mbakwe was injured in the fall of 2007 and missed most of the season. He did play in the last month, showing a good deal of promise. His playing time was sure to increase this season with the graduation of Osmane Barro. According to StatSheet.com, his ORtg was 86.4, not good at all, but due to get better with playing time -- something he would have gotten more of this season. He showed very good potential as a rebounder, especially on the offensive boards (OR% was 14.4).
