Kudos to Scottie

Villanova's Scottie Reynolds has been nominated for two of the more prestigious awards in D1 basketball. The John Wooden Award is given annually to the best player in college basketball. 50 players are nominated in the preseason, 30 are named at mid-season (mostly drawn from the preseason 50...though a small number of "new comers" may be tabbed and the final ballot will contain the names of 20 players who had the best seasons. Quite an honor to be nominated. In all, 12 Big East players were nominated...

Bob Cousy Award, is given to the best point guard in each of the 3 divisions managed by the NCAA. Nominations are accepted from across the country, with the winner selected by a panel of experts working with the Hartford. 34 point guards from around the country were nominated. In all, six point gaurds were nominationed out of the Big East...
