Freshman guard Maalik Wayns' 16 point 2 assist effort at Marquette Saturday caught the eye of the folks at the Big East office -- the Big East named Wayns Rookie of the Week "...after he came off the bench to score 16 points on 5-of-8 shooting in a 74-72 win at Marquette. Wayns was 6-of-7 from the free throw line and had two assists and two rebounds in 26 minutes..." according to the citation.
Congratulations Maalik!
